Animating a Logo Reveal

This week we'll be creating a Logo Reveal. I call this style of motion graphic the Rube Goldberg approach because each event seems to propagate from the last. Develop your sequence in a sort of chain-reaction that moves around and throughout the whole space and leads the viewer's eye as it grows.

Design a logo - or use a pre-existing one - and create a series of events that unfold over time to slowly build the motion graphic. Allow events to grow out of each other and work towards the goal of a final design that is in balance on the screen. Mind your pacing and remember to reach for those 10 Principles of Motion Design whenever appropriate. I want to see multiple techniques employed. Working with Text Animators is expected. In addition, there needs to be at least one instance of Trim Paths as well as animated Masks and Track Mattes. Create a motion graphic that takes 10 seconds to unfold. Be sure to use ALL of that time to keep delighting the eye and surprising the viewer, However, be mindful that the event needs a beat or two before things start happening and the final logo needs to breathe at the end of the sequence so that viewers can read/see it.
