Design and paint an arrangement of fallen autumn leaves sitting on a paer surface such as a sheet of paper or a newspaper page. Choose the placement of the leaves to suggest poetic movement across the page. Be sure to show some reference to the written or printed page. Employ wet-into-wet, washes, glazes, and dry brush techniques to try and capture the unique personality of each leaf. Use salt and splatter textures as needed. Use cast shadows to cement the effect of seeing actual leaves sitting on the page.
