Materials

There is a textbook required for this class. See the prepared bibliography for details on this and other resources that are required and/or useful towards completing the course work over the course of the semester. You will be required to bring the book to class at certain sessions during the semester. You will be alerted to these sessions in advance.

File Management

Do not archive any projects, images, reference files, or rendered movies permanently on the system (C:) drive. These drives are purged of any extra files during reboot and you will lose your work. This is likely the default location that Photoshop will offer during a save command. Use the Save As command to point Photoshop to save your files to an alternate location.

Additional drives on your system can be used for temporary storage (except the L drive, which is too small and may botch the save!) At the end of each class you must archive the files to a removable disk or thumb drive for transfer to a safe location between classes. Important classwork should always be backed-up this way.

Work lost due to sloppy file management will need to be made up before the semester's end.
