Setting up an ImageShack Account

Arriving for the first time at ImageShack (https://www.imageshack.us/) you will need to use the yellow Sign Up button in the upper right of the welcome page. To continue, you will be asked for simple data - email, user name, and password. After verifying your email by replying to one that is sent out to you, you will return and be offered a 1/2 price yearly promo. Unless you think you will like to keep an image hosting account beyond the end of the semester, Skip This Step.

You will next arrive at the home page for your account and will see a tag in upper right that points to the corner where you can later update your account. Cycling through the Next buttons will show you locations for a couple more features. Do this so it will disappear and unclutter your view.

So that I can have a simple and clear idea of who's work I am viewing, I'd like you to then create a single Album for your classwork. Name it, using the following format: Your Name's Photoshop Projects (where you replace "your name" with your actual name.) You can set the Privacy sttings to Private if you want to keep the album from being found via searches. I will be able to view it when you send the link.

When you click on the upload button you will see the menu above. For UPLOAD TO, select from My Albums the album you just created. Unless instructed otherwise, always upload your work to this original album. For RESIZE TO select 1280 x 1024. Hit BROWSE & UPLOAD to see files on your computer that you can navigate through and select from. You can choose to upload individual files or all of them at once .

NOTE: To send me the link or links for your work, there are two options. a) The chain link GET LINKS icon on the upper right allows you to select and right-click-copy any links to one or more images. Or b) Clicking on the menu icon in the upper left of image field reveals a small black drop down menu. Click into the Direct link at its top to select and copy the link for the whole album. Use this last method for this week's upload so I can see all work at once. Afterwards you can use either method. Paste these links into an email and send it to me to hand in homework.
