1) Read Part 2 of Chapter 3 in our text entitled Surface Divisions (pp72-95). Look to examples in film and broadcast to identify where these are used to good effect.
Download this file and work with the sketch environments and characters within a 3D set in After Effects. Prepare the images for this within Photoshop by cutting out windows and around characters. Animate them in a simple scene where 2 characters interact. Use Screen Divisions found in the scene to show their evolving discourse. Introduce and animate a camera to complete the scene as needed.
